Devlog 3: if we have to write one more bible, we will actually lose our minds


Hello friends reading this devlog entry, another week has passed and with that comes progress. Trust me, what we got in store this week will please ghost hunters and necromancers alike. So please, indulge us, as we guide you through the tribes and tribulations we faced to bring you, the good people following along with our journey, your well deserved progress update.

Art

bible

guess what our artists cooked up, that's right, a super duper mega awesome art bible, yeaaaaaaah cool stuff right, this beautifully detailed art bible explains each and every nitty gritty detail the artists need to know about our style. it didn't have to look this nice, but it simply does, that's just the quality you can come to expect from our artists i suppose. hey but don't take my word for it, instead of listening to me blabber on about how awesome this stuff is, take a look for yourself.

AYE WHOA WHOA, you didn't seriously think we'd show you all our art secrets, would you. Welp I guess if you're really that curious, you'll just have to stick around for future devlogs ;) 

Coding

our amazing fellas of the programming team spend all week enhancing the prototype of last week, so lets take a gander at what they got up to this week

camera shenanigans 

our prototype now features a camera that zooms in 10 seconds after the round starts, if you're caught outside the cameras view you are eliminated !!!!!! truly a nasty way to go wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.


HOW IT WORKS: the camera gradually zooms in until its at a set point ,then it stops zooming. this forces the players to play aggressively instead of camping on the outer edges of the map, which in other games would be viable strategy, but guess what bucko this ain't your average video game, this is hardcore stuff!!!!!!

Team select babyyyyyyy

Another fantastic addition to our already impressive prototype is the team selection feature, allowing players to pick their teams and battle it out in 2v2 matches. This is a major step forward in our journey towards the final product, as our game is designed to be a 2v2 experience.


Sound

guess what, another effing bible!!!!!

that's right, our sound team also cooked up a bible, this is also a huge step forwards, since our sound team now fully knows which direction it wants to take the sound design and implementation
